ONLINE HEALTH CERTIFICATES

The provisions issued with Memorandum no. 4/2011 by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and by the Ministry of Labour, besides harmonizing the procedures between the public sector and the private one, fixed the deadline on June 17, 2011 for the definitive switchover to the data processing system (so called “Sac”) for the online health certificates sending. The complete realization of the digitalization changing, started by the Law no. 311/2004 and completed by the Article 25 of the Law no. 183/2010 (so called “Collegato Lavoro”), will be effective from the day after the mentioned deadline. Until that deadline, the private employers could still request to their employees the delivery of the health certificate paper copy issued by the doctor, according to the procedures currently in force, which coincides with the delivery within two days following the start of the event.
