In addition to introducing laws related to public security and order, the law also modified some provisions on immigration contained in Legislative Decree no. 286\/98 and the related implementation regulation. In particular, a simplified procedure has been introduced for hiring qualified non-EU workers such as managers, highly specialised personnel, university professors, researchers and those who have been temporarily admitted to fulfil specific functions and duties for a certain amount of time; among other things the need for requesting a prior &ldquo;nulla osta&rdquo; (approval) has been eliminated for these categories.<\/font><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Law no. 94\/09 was published in the ordinary supplement of the Italian Official Gazette no. 170 of 24 July 2009.
