Client request
A global company operating in the Home Decor sector required assistance following the board’s decision to discontinue business activities and proceed with voluntary liquidation, with particular focus on workforce implications and industrial relations.
Our approach
The firm adopted a structured and multidisciplinary approach aimed at managing all employment law aspects related to the business closure. Particular attention was given to trade union relations and the identification of appropriate income support measures for affected employees.
Our intervention
We assisted the client in trade union consultation procedures aimed at obtaining Extraordinary Wage Guarantee Fund (CIGS) benefits for business cessation and, subsequently, in procedures related to insolvency arrangements and access to statutory social safety nets. The firm also supported the client in managing the collective redundancy procedure and preparing submissions to the Ministry of Labour, ensuring a coordinated and compliant management of the entire process.
