DID YOU KNOW THAT… The Draft Agreement renewing the chemical-pharmaceutical sector National Collective Labour Agreement has been signed?

On 12 June 2022, the Draft Agreement renewing the chemical-pharmaceutical sector National Collective Labour Agreement was signed. The new contract runs from 1 July 2022 until 30 June 2025. Among the changes there is an increase of the Minimum Wage of € 204 for the 36 months of contractual validity for category D1 of the National Collective Labour Agreement, divided into five tranches: € 50 from 1 July 2022, € 30 from 1 January 2023, € 68 from 1 July 2024 and € 20 from 1 June 2025. In addition, no worker may be exempt from working on-call for the tasks andusing the methods agreed with the company. Unless otherwise agreed by the company, the surcharges for working on Sundays are applied to work performed on Sundays or days considered holidays. Workers absent due to illness or accident will be paid after the 14th day of hospitalisation instead of the  current 21 days. The new contract covers guidelines for the digital transformation process including work organisation, skills and training, employment and employability, involvement and participation, industrial relations, health and safety, and the environment. Workers must vote on the agreement in meetings.
