BONUS FOR THE WOMEN EMPLOYEES WHO HAS A BABY (ITALIA OGGI, FEBRUARY 14, 2013, PAGE 25)

The Decree of the Labor Ministry dated December 22, 2012, published on the Official Gazette no. 37 of February 13, 2013, provides for the so called “bonus baby” for the mother workers. In order to facilitate the return to the work after the compulsory maternity leave, the Government will contribute with the amount of EUR 300 per month for the nursery school and babysitter expenses, but the mother must give up, for any month of incentive, to the relevant time of facultative leave. The Decree also states the compulsory leave for the father workers who, within the fifth months of life of the son/daughter, can be absent for one day from work with the guarantee of the 100% salary.
