LABOUR MARKET REFORM: AGREEMENT BETWEEN GOVERNMENT AND MAJORITY ON AMENDMENTS TO THE REFORM (Il Sole 24 Ore, July 11, 2012, page 11)

The Government and the parliamentary majority which supports it have reached an agreement on some  modifications to the reform of labor market to be included in the so called “Decreto Sviluppo”. In particular, in the above-mentioned amendments: less pressing measures on VAT collaborations and on fixed term employment contracts (especially in seasonal working activities) have been confirmed; the possibility for the agencies of work supply to use the apprenticeship contract has been generalized; the coming into effect of the new social security economic treatment (so called “ASpI”) as of January 1, 2013 has been confirmed; the increase of the social security rate charged on VAT collaborator or on other free-lance collaborators enrolled at “Gestione Separata INPS” has been postponed of one year (therefore, the rate will be equal to 27% in 2013 and to 28% in 2014); the regularity verification on the income and the duration of the VAT collaboration has been extended on a period of 2 consecutive years and not on one only.
