LABOUR: BONUS FOR THE NEW HIRINGS (Il Sole 24 Ore, October 19, 2012, page 28)

As of October 18, 2012, the employer may send to INPS the request in order to benefit of the economical advantages provided for by the promotion of employment and of stabilization of female employees (of any ages) and male employees (less than 30 years-old). The admission to the bonus, through an online procedure according to the date of application delivery to INPS, will be allowed until March 31, 2013. The enjoyment of the benefits, instead, is subject to compliance with UE Regulation No. 1998/2006. One of the conditions necessary in order to obtain the benefit is the duration of the employment relationship which must be at least of 6 months. With particular reference to the new hiring with fixed-term employment contracts, the amount of the benefit depends on the duration of employment. For the contracts with a duration between 12 and 18 months, it is provided for by a bonus equal to EUR 3,000. Instead, for the ones with a duration between 19 and 24 months, the benefit is equal to EUR 4,000, while if the contract exceeds 2 years of duration, the incentive increases to EUR 6,000. Also in this case, the employment relationship has to be maintained for at least 6 months.
